Who says you don't work in the summer?

I say you don't work in the summer!! That's who. Haha. I have been finalizing my schedule for next school year (SENIOR YEAR!!) and since I am enrolled in 3 A.P. classes I have accumulated some summer homework. However I'm somewhat excited to get a head start on my classes for next year! and the best part is I have an excuse to read about government and history all day and my parents can't bother me because I have the excuse, "MOM I'M DOING HOMEWORK!". Let's see if I'm a good student and don't leave my summer homework for the last 3 days of summer like every other year. another project I'm being forced to work on is my mom's new water/pond/erosion prevention/lamness garden. Last weekend the family bonded over the 4 hour removal of tree limbs. However my back did not like this task. Jo has a whole summer plan for all the work her 3 workers will be doing. Joy. Finally I have my gold award project to work on. 50 hours of community service and I'm done. yess that's my summer, but I guess its better than going to school:) (not really I love school).
okk I watched the news today. Dow Jones has gone up 6.7 points, along with the rest of the stock market. the unemployment rate has dropped to around 16% and Nancy Pelosi is feeling the heat of the media. Along with the approval of over 20,000 troops being sent to Afghanistan, the senate passes bill to provide $91.3 billion aid for the Afghan war, suspected to surpass the cost of the current war in Iraq. However the bill to give $80 million in order to close Guantanamo Bay, where 240 suspected terrorists are kept, was killed in debate. Keep up the good work Obama.

April Showers Bring May Flowers...

That old wives tale does not apply to Missouri. April is far and gone, yet all we see is rain, clouds, and storms. However I LOVE it!! my favorite thing about summer is watching the storms roll in. I love the colors of the sky, the smell, the wind; it all creates the most amazing feeling. So even if the evil weather people complain about the rain I encourage mother nature to bring it on! I feel like the transfer of April to May is the biggest change of the whole year. Spring becomes summer, school ends and the adventure begins, and everyone has a new mentality. However the worst part is deffenatly finals. My schedule this year is vary hectic:

  • Friday, May 22: 5th hour final- exempt:)
  • Tuesday, May 26: 1 hour (chem) & 2 hour (strength training)
  • Wednesday, May 27: 3 hour- exempt:) & 4 (Spanish IV)
  • Thursday, May 28: 6 hour (Algebra II) & 7 hour (American Lit)
  • Friday, May 29: SUMMER!!!!!!!:)

blablabla I'm so ready for summer: Float trip, Girls Camp, Colorado, Utah.....summer school, sick!!

Ya, so I'm going to stop procrastinating and study for my Chem test.

Toddles:)

The Open Door

I didn't know what a blog was until about 3 months ago, and I thought they were stupid. However, after much consideration and viewing blogs of some friends, I decided that a blog gives the world an opportunity to hear my thoughts, ponders, concerns, beliefs, annoyances, etc. After I told the lovely Katie Baum my idea to create a blog, she responded, "what are you even going to write about? 'today I took an AP test, today I watched T.V.' No one wants to read that." Regardless of her worthless opinion I have decided the world NEEDS to hear what I have to say. So, today with my very first blog I have opened a door for many of you, you are now able to enter Maddiland. congratulations, for years now tickets have only been awarded to the amazing Katie Baum and Rachel Gilman. enjoy.
